Fans of Jewish deli food rejoiced when Rose Foods opened its doors last summer. Chef-owner Chad Conley (of Palace Diner fame), continues to convert skeptics with his chopped liver, matzo-ball soup, and toothsome bagels. The gravlax comes from Ducktrap in Belfast, but the nova, whitefish, lox, and sable are shipped up from New York. Try a side of “health” salad—cabbage and carrots with dill and caraway—and a Dr. Brown’s soda to complete the authentic experience.
